Eurostar passholder quota sold out: what to do

Last verified 2026-10-04

Every Eurostar needs a passholder reservation, and those passholder places are limited — Interrail itself says they “tend to sell out quickly”. Here is what they cost, how to check availability, and what to do when your train has none left.

What you pay (Interrail, 2026-10-04)

2nd-class pass holders can only book Standard; 1st-class pass holders can book either. Eurostar Premier is not available with a pass. London trains are for Global Pass holders only. Reservations are non-exchangeable and non-refundable.

Check availability before you buy the pass

You do not need a pass number to see whether passholder places are left: run the search on SNCB’s pass booking page (b-europe.com/EN/Booking/Pass). Interrail also has an FAQ on checking the number of seats left for pass holders.

Third-party rule of thumb (seat61): Eurostar sells seats in price buckets and the passholder fare sits in one of the more expensive buckets, so it is often available — but in July and August travellers have found no passholder places for several days at a time. seat61 also notes that when the regular fare on eurostar.com climbs very high, passholder places tend to be gone.
